About
Vienna-based Iranian oud player and vocalist Avin Ahmadi performs her solo programme Qayeq, blending Persian influences, jazz and improvisation.
Avin Ahmadi brings her solo project Qayeq to the ACF Salon, performing her own compositions on oud and voice. The project merges Persian influences, jazz and improvisation into a personal cross-cultural style, its name taken from the Persian word for boat. Selected for NASOM (New Austrian Sound of Music) in 2025, the project has since toured Europe, West Asia and North Africa.
