Light Night Leeds: Scores for Walking

A text-based projection installation by J.R. Carpenter generating ever-changing walking prompts inspired by the Yorkshire Dales.

Scores for Walking is a constantly evolving text-based projection by artist J.R. Carpenter, part of Light Night Leeds. An online writing machine generates a new performance prompt every six seconds, combining observations of nature, walking actions and the sensations of moving through landscape. The work invites visitors to journey through the Yorkshire Dales via the projected words.
