About

Historian Professor David Olusoga gives a talk uncovering the global history of British tea, followed by a Q&A and book signing.

In a brand-new 2026 addition to his Missing History talks, David Olusoga uses art, photography, history and humour to explore the story of Britain's national drink, tracing how tea links 350 years of British history to China, India, the Caribbean and the United States. The talk touches on the Boston Tea Party, the Opium Wars, the British East India Company, industrial espionage and migration within India. A Q&A and book signing follow the presentation, with books available to purchase.
