Meraki Duo

Lunchtime recital by flute and guitar duo Meraki Duo, featuring arrangements by James Girling from the duo's debut album Notes from the Living Room.

Flautist Meera Maharaj and guitarist James Girling perform a lunchtime chamber programme arranged by Girling, including William Grant Still's Three Songs, selections from Messiaen's 5 Leçons de solfège, Dominique Le Gendre's Songs and Dances of the Islands and Miroslav Tadić's Four Macedonian Pieces for alto flute and guitar. The programme draws on the repertoire of the duo's debut album, Notes from the Living Room. Formed in 2014, the duo has appeared at Wigmore Hall and Kings Place and won the International Chamber Music Competition for Flute & Guitar in 2023.
