Parent & Child Sewing Workshop

A beginner-friendly two-hour sewing session where parents and carers work with children up to 12 to decorate a T-shirt and make a tote bag.

This hands-on workshop at Swansea Community Workshops welcomes mums, dads and carers alongside children up to 12 years old, with no previous sewing experience required. Participants decorate a plain T-shirt with a pumpkin design using fabric shapes, appliqué and patches, then make and personalise a tote bag with a star design. Adults work alongside their children throughout, with close supervision when sewing machines are used. Attendees should bring one plain T-shirt; other materials are provided, and finished items go home with the children.
