About

York Light Opera Company performs Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 The Musical at York Theatre Royal in February 2027.

York Light Opera Company returns to York Theatre Royal with an amateur production of 9 to 5 The Musical, based on the 1980 film with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick. The show follows three unlikely friends who discover there is nothing they can't do, even in a man's world. The production contains strong language, sexual innuendo and depictions of drugs and alcohol, and is recommended for ages 12 and over. A relaxed performance takes place on Thursday 11 February at 2pm.
