Derriford Hospital Emergency Care Building

A CPD session and tour of the £145m Emergency Care Building construction project at Derriford Hospital, hosted by CIOB and Willmott Dixon.

The CIOB Cornwall & Plymouth hub and Willmott Dixon host a two-hour CPD session and tour of the Emergency Care Building being delivered at University Hospitals Plymouth under the Procure 23 Framework. The £145m, six-storey facility is the UK's first Wave 1 New Hospital Programme scheme to begin main construction and will nearly double emergency care capacity at one of the South West's busiest emergency departments and major trauma centres, with completion due in early 2029. The event covers the project's scale, delivery and its commitments to local employment, apprenticeships and sustainability.
