About
A ticketed exhibition at Peterborough Cathedral, Mary's original burial site, tracing her life through artefacts, visuals and immersive scenes.
Peterborough Cathedral, the original burial site of Mary, Queen of Scots, hosts an exhibition tracing her extraordinary life amid the turbulence of 16th-century Europe. Using original artefacts and reproductions, striking visuals and immersive scenes, it follows Mary's journey from crowned infant through political upheaval and personal loss to her enduring legacy. The exhibition runs from 21 September to 15 November 2026, with ticketed entry that also gives access to the whole Cathedral; a chapel for private prayer remains freely available.
