About

An exhibition at Leeds Castle about Queen Eleanor of Castile, featuring the world's first interactive historical AI avatar of the medieval queen.

This exhibition explores the life of Eleanor of Castile (1241–1290), Queen of England and first female owner of Leeds Castle. Visitors follow her story from her marriage to Edward I through her travels on crusade and her role in bringing European culture to the English court, beginning in the Gloriette she built in 1278. The experience culminates in an audience with the UK's first historical AI avatar, an interactive recreation of Eleanor designed to answer visitors' questions in conversation.
