Repair Cafe Splott

A free volunteer-run repair cafe where people bring broken items to be fixed while enjoying tea and coffee with neighbours.

Volunteer repairers try to fix broken or damaged items for free, showing owners how the repair is done if they wish. Typical repairs include basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliance repair, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair and woodworking, though microwaves are excluded for safety. Visitors can enjoy tea or coffee and chat with neighbours while they wait. The cafe meets in the old Splott Methodist Church building at the rear of the Oasis centre on Burnaby Street on the second Saturday of each month.
