Repair Cafe Barry

A free monthly repair cafe where volunteer repairers fix broken items while you enjoy tea and coffee at Barry Library.

Volunteer repairers attempt to fix broken or damaged items brought along by the public, free of charge, while visitors enjoy tea or coffee and chat with neighbours. Typical repairs include basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliance repair, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair and woodworking, though most items are considered except microwaves, which are too dangerous. Repairers will even show visitors how the fix is done, and more volunteer fixers are welcome to come along.
