A temporary display of objects recently added to the museum’s collections, from archaeological finds and historical artefacts to art, photographs and everyday objects.
The display brings together objects added to Orkney Museum’s collections through donation, purchase and archaeological allocation. Highlights include Easter eggs inscribed by George Mackay Brown with previously unpublished haiku and painted balls from Ashbourne’s Royal Shrovetide Football, gifted in recognition of the Kirkwall Ba.
