About

An exhibition exploring John Rae and the Inuit knowledge that shaped his Arctic journeys, through Inuit, First Nations, Métis and Orcadian art and artefacts.

Developed with the John Rae Society, AGLOOKA explores John Rae’s connections with Inuit knowledge and the links between Orkney, northern Canada and the Arctic. The exhibition brings together Inuit, First Nations, Métis and Orcadian art and artefacts, including work by Indigenous and contemporary Orcadian artists.
