THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride at South Devon Railway 2026

A festive immersive train ride with characters, music, hot chocolate and a reading of Chris Van Allsburg’s story.

At Buckfastleigh Station, festive lights and decorations set the scene before families board in Christmas pyjamas. Chefs greet passengers, serve hot chocolate and a cookie, and lead a performance of “Hot Chocolate” from the film while the story is read aloud. The operator describes an immersive theatrical journey with music, singing and dancing. Fifteen dates are published between 27 November and 23 December 2026. Departure times and prices are not specified in the published details. This is the South Devon Railway production, presented by PNP Events Ltd under licence; Santa meets passengers aboard the train.
