The Haunted Bunker Experience

Families explore a wartime bunker transformed with ghost stories, unusual signals and Halloween effects.

The museum’s underground wartime communications site becomes a Halloween route using stories and audiovisual effects. Visitors can combine the bunker trail with the museum; the organiser estimates around 45 minutes for the trail and recommends at least two hours for the full visit. Open 10:00–16:00 on each published date, with no individual appointment time. The main bunker is accessible for visitors with mobility needs, while the optional escape stairs contain over 100 granite steps. Dogs are permitted on site and in the main museum but cannot enter the bunker. Designed for ages 7+, with parental or carer supervision and family discretion for younger children.
