Urban Portraits: Fragments of London

Mark Woods graduated from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art with a degree in graphic design and illustration. He is an artist and plein air painter based in North London. He doesn’t work in just one medium, but mixes media to achieve the desired results the pieces of art require. His paintings and drawings are representational in that he attempts to capture a sense of place and a feel for the subject matter in front of him. He works quickly and doesn’t like to get hung up on tiny details, but add just enough to make the viewer aware that the detail exists.
