Candlelit Tours

Twilight candlelit tours explore how the Romans lit up their homes at Arbeia, South Shields' Roman Fort.

These tours allow visitors to step back in time and reflect on the Roman era as dusk settles. Led by expert guide Sue Balmer, the tours include free time to explore the reconstructed Commanding Officer's House. At the end of the tour, attendees can ask questions over light refreshments, including hot drinks and mince pies.
