Comédie Française (PG)
About
A subtitled screening of the French backstage comedy Comédie Française, set before an opening night of Macbeth at the Comédie-Française.
Foxlowe Films screens Comédie Française, a 2026 French comedy directed by Bertrand Usclat and Martin Darondeau, subtitled and running 75 minutes. The film is a behind-the-scenes farce set during the chaotic three hours before the opening night of Shakespeare's Macbeth at Paris's Comédie-Française, featuring real-life members of the company and poking fun at the highbrow reputation of French theatre. Winner of four awards at the Alpe d'Huez comedy Film Festival, it screens with doors at 7pm and the film starting at 7:45pm; the licensed bar serves hot drinks from 7pm. The cinema is on the first floor with no disabled access.
