Beatrix Potter's The Tailor of Gloucester
About
An interactive musical show for young children and families adapting Beatrix Potter's tale of a tailor, his cat and Christmas-saving mice.
This festive musical for young children and families retells Beatrix Potter's story of the Tailor of Gloucester, who must finish the Mayor's Christmas coat while his cat Simpkin chases mice, and who needs help when he falls ill. The production is a brand-new version of the 2019 show, with new songs and a fresh look, created by the writers behind The Night Before Christmas and Little Robin Redbreast. Performances run from 7 to 27 December 2026, including school's performances, a relaxed autism-friendly showing on 12 December and extra matinees over the Christmas period.
