Christmas Guided Bird Walk

A fully booked guided winter bird walk through the Lower Derwent Valley led by local ornithologist Michael Turner.

This guided walk takes place between Christmas and New Year in the Lower Derwent Valley, led by local ornithologist Michael Turner. Participants can look out for winter bird species such as red kite, buzzard, kingfisher and jay while learning about the wildlife and habitats of the valley. The walk follows regular pathways with some slight gradients and lasts around two and a half hours; binoculars are recommended and dogs are not permitted. Café refreshments are available before and after the walk.
