Rug Tufting Experience

A beginner-friendly workshop at Dovecot Studios learning electric gun tufting techniques to create your own contemporary rug sample with artist Molly Kent.

This intimate workshop introduces the basics of electric gun tufting, giving participants hands-on experience with a tufting gun to experiment and create their own contemporary rug sample. It is aimed at beginners and hosted by Edinburgh-based textile artist and tutor Molly Kent, whose practice explores mental and physical health through rug tufting and weaving. Liquid latex is applied at the end, so rugs need 24 hours to dry and must be collected from Dovecot Studios afterwards.
