Festive Gonk Making Workshop
About
A festive hands-on workshop at Whistlewood Common where participants carve their own Gonk from aerated concrete, led by Jayne Kirkman.
A hands-on festive workshop where participants carve their own Gonk figure from aerated concrete, a process the organisers call Alternative Stone Carving. Led by Jayne Kirkman of JAK's Art, the session is suitable for complete beginners and provides all tools, materials and safety equipment; participants need some strength and dexterity in their hands and wrists. It takes place under Whistlewood's rustic shelter overlooking the woodland, decorated with natural festive greenery, and everyone takes home a finished Gonk.
