The Secret Spooky Storytelling Club

A spooky evening of folk horror storytelling with live music from The League of Curiosity's Secret Storytelling Club.

October's Secret Storytelling Club is a night of folk horror and murderous myth, opening with the ancient Irish tale The Story of Nera followed by a retelling of the English folk ballad King Henry. The stories feature reanimated corpses, faerie folk and a terrifying spectre of hunger. Two musicians, composer Áine Mallon and double bassist Ian Mayer, weave haunting melodies beneath the stories. The evening lasts two hours including a 20-minute interval, and is for ages 16 and over.
