Christmas by Candlelight

Royal Northern Sinfonia performs Nordic and string music by Sibelius, Grieg, Karłowicz and Rautavaara by candlelight in Norton.

Royal Northern Sinfonia, directed by violinist Maria Włoszczowska, presents a winter programme of music from northern Europe. The concert pairs haunting Nordic folk melodies with string works, moving from Sibelius to Grieg's Peer Gynt music, alongside pieces by Karłowicz and Rautavaara. Glögg and pepparkakor are available in the interval.
