Kilgrimol Crafts: Wet Felting for Beginners

Part of the Kilgrimol: Heritage Crafts collection, this beginner session introduces wet felting, a prehistoric craft highlighted on the Heritage Crafts Red List of endangered skills. Living History enthusiast Heather demonstrates the traditional techniques once used to produce clothing from natural materials. Over three hours, participants make their own felted item such as mittens, socks, a hat or a bag with colour-blended wool, with all materials, tuition, drinks and snacks provided.
