Aurora

An exhibition of Nick Jones's paintings of the aurora and other Arctic optical phenomena, shown across two galleries at Nature in Art.

Nature in Art presents two galleries of paintings by Nick Jones, made between 2015 and 2020, exploring landscape, light and the far north. One gallery gathers his aurora paintings inspired by trips to Finnish Lapland from 2014, while the other features Arctic optical phenomena such as halos, coronas, parhelia, fog-bows and rainbows, many painted ahead of his 2018 residency in Greenland and Baffin Island. The artist will also give a related talk on 24th November.
