Lampshade Making - Brafferton, Darlington

A beginner-friendly workshop where participants make their own 30cm drum lampshade from fabric of their choice, with no sewing required.

Craft and Create North East CIC run this two-and-a-half-hour lampshade-making workshop at Brafferton Village Hall. Participants learn step by step how to make a drum lampshade for a lamp or ceiling fitting using fabric they bring themselves (at least 1 metre wide by over 30cm deep, cotton or linen suggested). The session is suitable for complete beginners and experienced crafters alike, includes tuition and the lampshade base, and is subsidised with grant funds from the UK Government.
