Sketching for the Terrified

An outdoor quick-sketch workshop for people who feel unsure about drawing, using Sutton Hoo’s landscape as the subject.

Arts and Crafts volunteers lead informal quick-sketch activities that focus on noticing the landscape and responding to it, rather than making polished artwork. Materials are supplied and participants can take their sketches home. Meet in the courtyard by the ship sculpture after checking in with Visitor Welcome. The route uses uneven outdoor ground and is not suitable for wheelchair or walking-stick access.
