Governing AI: The View from the Regulatory Front Line
About
A free public lecture by Kate Jones, chief executive of the Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum, on how AI governance is developing in practice, followed by a conversation and reception.
BIICL and CREATe convene a public lecture by Kate Jones, chief executive of the UK's Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum, exploring the impact of AI disruption and how AI governance is developing in practice. She will consider how domestic and international frameworks intersect, cross-regulator collaboration and industry engagement, arguing that effective AI governance must be collaborative and pragmatic. The lecture is followed by a conversation with Prof. Martin Kretschmer of CREATe, University of Glasgow, and a networking reception, and marks the opening of the Regulating AI in the Creative Economy course in the new AI Law and the Creative Economy PgCert programme. The event offers 1.5 CPD hours.
