About

A sold-out private guided tour of the King's Chapel of the Savoy with Chapel Steward Richard Buck, covering its history and recent refurbishment, ending with refreshments.

Sue Stamp Tours hosts a private afternoon visit to the King's Chapel of the Savoy, one of London's four Chapels Royal. Chapel Steward Richard Buck gives a seated talk on the chapel's history, from the old Savoy Palace built in 1245 to the chapel's origins as part of Henry VII's Savoy Hospital, completed by 1517. The visit follows the completion of a refurbishment programme and includes viewing the newly restored organ and stained glass, before tea, coffee and biscuits in the Robing Room.
