About

Buxton Musical Society's chorus and orchestra, conducted by Sam Hayes, perform Mozart's Requiem and works by Britten and Pärt.

Marking 50 years since Benjamin Britten's death, the Chorus and Orchestra of Buxton Musical Society pair Britten's early Simple Symphony with Arvo Pärt's Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten. The programme also spans Mozart's earliest known choral work, the Kyrie K.33, through Ave Verum Corpus to his incomplete final Requiem K626. Sam Hayes conducts.
