BsidesNcl 2026 - Bring out your Weird

A community-run cyber security conference at Star and Shadow Cinema with talks, workshops and networking under the theme 'Bring Out Your Weird'.

BSidesNCL returns for a day of cyber security talks and workshops at the Star and Shadow Community Cinema, organised by the BSides Newcastle Committee. This year's theme, 'Bring Out Your Weird', celebrates unconventional research, niche interests and unusual career paths within the security community. The event runs for eight hours with doors at 9:30 AM, and welcomes newcomers and experienced professionals alike, with community-led content, networking and refreshments. Sponsorship is being scaled back to community micro-sponsorships of £25 to £250 to keep the event community-driven.
