About

A free outdoor Great Aycliffe fireworks display with a children’s fairground and beacon lighting before the fireworks.

Great Aycliffe Town Council’s annual Fireworks Display takes place outdoors at the Oak Leaf Sports Complex Field on Thursday 5 November. The children’s fairground opens at 17:00, the beacon is lit at 18:30 and the fireworks begin at 18:45. Admission is free, but attendance is limited to residents of the Parish of Great Aycliffe. Bring a recent utility bill or driving licence as proof of address to obtain the required wristband; one person may apply for family wristbands, and supplies are limited. Wristbands are available at Oakleaf Sports Complex from 20 October, 13:00–19:00 each day until they are all distributed. No wristband means no entry. Allow time for security checks on arrival, including bag and wristband checks and random body scanning. The Council lists 35 disabled parking spaces at the pavilion.
