reIMAGINE: Art & Sound

An opening-night celebration of Black art, music and creativity, with live music, an exhibition of young people’s artwork, an interactive reflections wall and Caribbean food.

Stoke Newington Music School CIC and Sfumato Art Studio & Gallery lead a six-week project bringing together artwork made by Hackney children and young people with live music connected to generations of Black artists. The opening night is scheduled for 17:00–20:00 on 6 November. The exhibition is advertised to continue through 12 November, with separate visiting hours. The council listing describes an all-ages audience and step-free access to the ground-floor studio; restrooms are down a flight of stairs. Advance booking is recommended because capacity is limited.
