A Christmas Journey – Darkness to Light

Buxton Musical Society's Christmas concert journeys from winter darkness to festive light, with Vivaldi, a junior choir and seasonal music.

Buxton Musical Society presents a Christmas concert tracing the season from darkness to light. Violinist Ben Giliker performs Winter from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons in a first half of music inspired by the coldest, darkest time of the year. The second half turns to joyful Christmas music, with the Peak District Music Centres' Junior Choir joining the society's chorus and orchestra, and Giliker returning to play Spring from The Four Seasons, conducted by Sam Hayes.
