Sound Junction: Mariam Rezaei & Helen Papaioannou

An immersive Sound Junction concert of experimental turntablism and tape loops performed inside a 360-degree speaker dome.

Sound Junction is a twice-yearly immersive music event staged with the audience surrounded by a bespoke-built 360-degree dome of speakers under dimmed lights. This edition features experimental turntablist Mariam Rezaei, known for techniques such as free juggling, needle dripping and fractured loops, and Helen Papaioannou, who performs a special set using four tape players. The programme also includes new electroacoustic works by friends and students.
