About
DeNada Dance Theatre performs Carlos Pons Guerra's queer dance adaptation of Marlowe's Edward II, reimagined as a high-school drama.
DeNada Dance Theatre presents Carlos Pons Guerra's queer dance adaptation of Christopher Marlowe's Edward II, relocating the story of the king who loved his male court favourite to an American high school. The production blends Renaissance tragedy with 80s slasher and teen-movie tropes, exploring the endurance of queer people across history. It is danced by an international cast to an original arcade-to-medieval score by Luis Miguel Cobo, with designs by April Dalton. Age guidance is 12+.
