This guided tour takes visitors through the Grand Opera House York's beautiful auditorium and behind the scenes into backstage areas, with archive material on display and the chance to stand on the stage that has hosted performers such as Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Morecambe & Wise and Jodie Comer. The tour explores the heritage of the building, which opened in 1902, and each ticket includes a hot or soft drink to enjoy at the conclusion. Routes involve a number of stairs and tickets must be booked in advance; this is a venue tour, not a performance, and does not include a show ticket.
