Classic Guided Tour

A guided tour of York's Chocolate Story exploring the history of chocolate and York's confectionery heritage, with tastings and hands-on chocolate lolly making.

This guided tour walks visitors through the origins of chocolate, from ancient Central American rainforests to York's famous founding chocolate families such as Rowntree and Terry's. Along the way there are chocolate tastings, a live demonstration from in-house chocolatiers, and the chance to make and decorate a chocolate lolly to take home. The experience lasts approximately 60–75 minutes, with tours running daily between 10am and 5pm.
