Tally Brown, New York (1979)

This documentary follows singer and actor Tally Brown through interviews about her career and New York friendships.

Rosa von Praunheim’s portrait includes Brown’s account of her work as a classically trained opera and blues singer and her connections to the city’s underground film scene. Performances including “Heroes” and “Rock ’n’ Roll Suicide” frame a view of New York in the late 1960s and 1970s.
