Family Rhubarb Textile Workshop

A free hands-on family textile workshop where participants help create a giant rhubarb-themed banner to be displayed at WX during Rhubarb Festival 2027.

Families join Ruth Agbolade of Upcycle Arts CIC to create a colourful giant textile banner celebrating Wakefield's rhubarb heritage. Participants learn textile techniques, experiment with materials and add their own contributions to the collaborative artwork. The finished banner will go on display at WX during Rhubarb Festival 2027. The session is open to all regardless of experience, with children of all ages welcome and adults encouraged to help.
