TJ Johnson & his Band
About
Jazz and blues singer TJ Johnson and his five-piece band play an intimate Saturday-night show at Ram Jam Records.
The Speakeasy Party hosts TJ Johnson and his band, a five-piece act fronted by one of the UK's acclaimed jazz and blues entertainers. Backed by London-based musicians, TJ performs an intimate show blending jazz, blues, soul, country and gospel, taking the audience from New Orleans jazz dives to Texas honky-tonks and New York speakeasies. His repertoire is influenced by greats such as Ray Charles, Dr John, Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash, BB King and Nina Simone. The show runs from 9pm to 11:30pm as part of the venue's Saturday-night programme.
