Goytre Repair Cafe

A free community repair cafe where volunteer repairers fix broken household items while visitors enjoy tea, coffee and company.

Volunteer repairers attempt to fix broken or damaged items brought along by the public, free of charge, while visitors wait over a cup of tea or coffee and can even learn how the repair is done. Typical repairs include basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliance repair, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair and woodworking, though microwaves are excluded for safety reasons. The session runs from 10am to 1pm and aspiring fixers are welcome to come along too.
