If Stone Could Speak - Creative Writing Workshop!
About
An inclusive creative writing workshop at Montrose Museum inspired by sculptor Adam Christie, led by playwright Matthew Knights.
Knights Theatre runs a 2.5-hour creative writing workshop at Montrose Museum exploring the story of Adam Christie, a Shetland-born artist who spent most of his life in Montrose's Sunnyside Hospital and carved stone heads, some held by the museum. Participants engage with his story and write their own creative responses, asking what stone would say if it could speak. No writing experience or prior knowledge is needed; the session includes a break and is led by playwright and writing tutor Matthew Knights. A work-in-progress reading of the related play If Stone Could Speak follows at the museum on 6 November.
