ACT Awareness Training
About
An award-winning ACT Awareness session teaching counter-terrorism good practice and security awareness, covering threat levels, hostile reconnaissance and Run, Hide, Tell.
This Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) Awareness presentation covers four main topics: the current terrorism threat level and where it comes from, spotting and reporting hostile reconnaissance or suspicious behaviour, what to do about suspicious items, and how to respond to a firearms or weapons attack using Run, Hide, Tell. The 90-minute course is primarily aimed at staff working in venues and public spaces, but is also relevant to critical national infrastructure sites and members of the public. The page notes the current national threat level is SEVERE, meaning an attack is highly likely.
