Edinburgh Castle fires gun salutes at 12 noon on selected dates through the year to mark special occasions, with ceremonial guard mounts on some dates.

Edinburgh Castle holds a series of gun salutes throughout the year to mark a variety of special occasions. Unless otherwise stated, each salute takes place at 12 noon, and a ceremonial guard mount accompanies some dates. Visitors are asked to arrive at the marked areas at least 10 minutes before the firing, and access to some areas is limited during the salutes and guard mounts.
