About

A two-part workshop with artist and maker Jessica Crisp, extracting plant pigments and developing recipes for natural inks.

Artist and maker Jessica Crisp leads two sessions exploring pigments from plants grown at SSW and sustainably foraged in the local area. Participants experiment with ways to extract colour, develop recipes and make plant-based inks, then catalogue the colours and possibilities. Both sessions are required to take part. The exploration will feed into printmaking in SSW’s Winter Programme. Free, with materials, food and refreshments provided. Open to people over 10; under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
