“Spooky Sunday” in the Windmill & Gardens
About
A Halloween-themed open day invites families to explore Upminster Windmill and its gardens, with decorations, children’s activities and optional mill tours.
Halloween-themed decorations and activities for children of all ages accompany a visit to the restored 223-year-old windmill and its gardens. Visitors can explore the mill’s history through the visitor-centre displays or with guides, and see its sails and shaft turn when weather permits. The visitor centre and garden are free. Optional mill tours cost £6 for adults and £2 for under-18s. Children must be at least one metre tall and able to manage the stairs unaided; the upper floors have steep open-tread stairs, so enclosed flat-soled footwear is required.
