Waterstones Liverpool Presents An Evening With Alice Loxton

Art historian Alice Loxton discusses her new book A History of Britain in 21 Paintings at Waterstones Liverpool, with Q&A and book signing.

Waterstones Liverpool hosts art historian and broadcaster Alice Loxton to celebrate the release of her new book, A History of Britain in 21 Paintings. In the book, Loxton travels across Britain exploring twenty-one paintings — from medieval wall art near Cardiff to works by L.S. Lowry, Millais' 'Ophelia' and 'The Rainbow Portrait' of Elizabeth I — using them to illuminate British history and challenge famous myths. The evening includes a talk by Loxton, an audience Q&A and a book signing.
