IRL: Lab

A day of talks, hands-on workshops and playful experiments exploring how creative technology can connect people and places, hosted in Dumfries.

IRL: Lab is the first in-person gathering of IRL, a new programme from The Stove Network funded by the Pathways Communities Fund. It brings together people working in creative technology with those in community arts, heritage, regeneration and creative placemaking for a day of talks, hands-on workshops and playful experiments. Attendees can bring an idea, a challenge or a question about their place, and no technical experience is needed. The day also opens conversation about the possibilities and tensions of rapidly developing technologies such as AI, with an IRL development cohort afterwards offering mentoring and further workshops.
